2008 Blue Streak Overnight Volleyball Camp

June 27th - 29th (3 days & 2 nights)
Notre Dame College, South Euclid, Ohio

Girls ages 11-17

$290.00 tuition for overnight campers.
This tuition includes:
1 bed, 6 all-you-can eat meals, and 1 "Blue Streak Volleyball Camp" T-Shirt.

$250.00 tuition for commuters.
Commuters receive everything except lodging and breakfast. 2 lunches & 2 dinners are included.

Players will receive professional volleyball instruction from former and current college coaches and players in the fundamental skills they will need to excel at any level; with more intensive instruction and skill-work for more advanced players. All players will learn basic skills such as passing, serving, setting, hitting, and blocking with an emphasis on proper technique and many repetitions. In addition, players will learn individual defensive skills, team defenses, and work with both a 5-1 and 6-2 offense. High school players will work on various hits such as the slide, running a quick offense, and transition.

Deborah Wordell, Director of "SURGE" Junior Olympic Volleyball

Entering her fifth summer as director of the and Blue Streak Overnight Volleyball Camps is Deborah Wordell. Wordell, a Hiram College Hall of Fame collegiate player, has also served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.  Now, as the director of "SURGE," Wordell is committed to developing young women into competitive volleyball players by teaching the fundamental skills required to excel at the high school and collegiate level.
